Harwell School - http://www.harwell.oxon.sch.uk/ Harwell School's web site is quite detailed and refelects the interest of the community. There is a great gallery and has information about contact details and school events. It's worth a visit! You can also find the latest OFSTED Government report into the school here.

Our local Church is St Mathew's and is very popular. It's a great building dating from about 1200AD. The Church is a stunning building, and Chris Scott the Vicar is welcoming and friendly. You can find some information about the Church here, but the best site to visit can be found here.
There are lots of web sites out there with information on Harwell, we will add a few links here when we can. Our first link is to www.berkshirehistory.com which has a good summary of the village.

Harwell Park is one of the best in the area's thanks to a long gone Parish Council decision to spend money on the community. Harwell has several playing fields and a wonderful (if well worn and in need of replacement) children's playground (picture as above).
Once a year there is also the 'Harwell Feast'. This is a great event always well organised and full of events - fancy dress for the kids, a parade down the high street, and shows in the sports grounds. If you can please attend the event - its usually on the May bank holiday weekend. This year its the 30th of May.

The one an hour if you lucky bus timetable can be found here.
The mobile library also visits the village, the times change slightly, so please find the timetable here. At the time of writing the mobile library visits at 14:45 (2:45 PM) on the first Wednesday of every month - it stops in the Village Hall car park.
