For months I had worked well into the night slogging and slaving to get it just right.
Best quality paper fanned out on the floor,
Rejected, abandoned; went off to get more.

Ribbons, like bunting, festooning the bin
But not from a party; no bottles of gin.
Red eyes and headaches, not from a gig,
Were from working and weeping and changing the thing

He tells me that good in face of the bad
In praise of computer that I've never had
